Zero Effort Cycling

I have an itching to buy a simple but useful bicycle. Might like to see entire Allahabad on Cycle.
But I saw one man doing zero effort cycling. He was hooking on to the back of a trailer carrying logs. Pretty dangerous. No? I can not think of doing such heroics myself!
